Realization of the association's website
The creation of the web portal for theItalian Association of Cultural Centers was an ambitious and challenging project that involved several crucial steps for its success.
The first phase was to migrate data from the old Content Management System (CMS) to the new WordPress framework. To do this, the database was received in Access format, which was then normalized to ensure that the data were organized efficiently and consistently. After normalization, the necessary export files were created for smooth import into the new portal.
Before proceeding with the data import, acustomized infrastructure was created to ensure that all data were properly and consistently integrated. This customized structure included defining specific content types and creating automatic relationships between them. For example, a connection was established between events and the cultural centers that hosted them, allowing users to easily view events associated with a specific cultural center and vice versa. In addition, it was ensured that under each cultural center profile it was possible to view a complete list of events that center had proposed and implemented.
Maintaining a strong focus on the required graphic design, it was ensured that the portal was visually consistent with the Italian Association of Cultural Centers brand.
A key aspect of the portal implementation was the implementation of automation on the backend side. These automations enable site administrators to create and publish content easily and efficiently, ensuring that the process of updating and managing the portal is as smooth as possible.
In summary, the web portal for the Italian Association of Cultural Centers was a complex project that involved migrating data, creating a custom structure, managing relationships between data, conforming to the required graphic design, and implementing automation to simplify content management. The end result is a dynamic and informative portal that helps promote and enhance the cultural activities of member centers.
